Quillbrook privacy notes

Ink last dried 1 November 2026

The short version of our approach

Quillbrookgame collects as little as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comment boxes, no analytics tools and no advertising trackers on this site. You can read every page without telling us anything about yourself.

This page explains the small amount of information that is involved when you visit, and your rights over it under UK GDPR.

What stays in your own browser

When you add puzzles to your shortlist, or answer the cookie notice, that information is saved using localStorage in your own browser on your own device. It is never sent to us, and we cannot see it.

You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s stored data for this site. Doing so deletes your shortlist and resets your cookie-notice choice.

Letterforms fetched from Google’s font library

The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver those font files, Google receives your IP address and basic details about your browser, as happens with any web request.

Google handles that information under its own privacy policy. We receive nothing from Google about your visit, and we do not use Google’s fonts service to track you.

Letters sent to the Quillbrook inbox

If you write to editors@quillbrookgame.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to read and reply to you.

We keep emails only for as long as needed to respond and follow up on any correction you have raised, and we never add you to a mailing list or share your message with anyone else.

Leaving for the official games

When you press a play button, the official game opens in a new tab on its publisher’s website. From that point, the publisher’s own privacy policy covers what they collect.

Your puzzle statistics, streaks and settings are held by each game’s publisher, not by us, and nothing from those games is passed back to Quillbrookgame.

What UK GDPR lets you ask of Quillbrookgame

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. In practice, the only personal information we might hold is an email you have sent us.

To make a request, email editors@quillbrookgame.com and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information.

When these privacy notes get redrafted

If we change how the site works in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the revision date at the top.

We will always describe any change plainly, so you can see exactly what is different and decide how you feel about it.
